ISACA has announced that it will roll out an updated blueprint for its Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) exam starting January 2012. The current Job Practice will be effective through December 2011, and will be the last one to use the current objectives (a.k.a. job practice areas). The new CISM Job Practice will be effective June 2012. Both the current and the 2012 CISM exam details can be viewed on ISACA’s website.
The most important change in the blue-print is that the Information Security Program Development and Information Security Program Management will combine into a single domain by the name of Information Security Program Development and Management that will cover the 25% of total objectives.
